HSQ Short cut!
I am back into sewing and quilting! It feels so GOOD to be creating. When I create for others, it takes the focus off of me and puts it out there in a positive way. :)
I am sewing a baby quilt for a co-worker. (Yes, the baby is almost a month old! LOL) But, she is about to come back from maternity leave in June. So, what's a quilter to do???? Wait until the last minute to start the creative process.
For my baby quilt, I needed 140 4 1/2 inch half-squares. How do I do that quickly?? (Because who WANTS to spend all morning on making just the half-squares?????) The STRIP TUBE RULER to the rescue! I made all of my half-square in NO time. Then I chain sewed them and VIOLA.....I had all of my blocks that I needed.
Quilters are all about saving time and being more efficient with our time. As I get back into the swing of things, I will be posting more time saving short cuts and other tidbits. I can't wait to get back into reading other quilting blogs and exchanging ideas.
Keep on keeping on,

Holy Moley..... Long Time
Our family has been busy welcoming our newest member. My grand-daughter Madeline Grace.
This sweet baby has inspired my sewing. More pictures and posts to come.
