Sewing Studio Saga Pt. 1

2013.....has meant trying to get some areas of my life organized.  This is something that I've thought long and hard upon.  It is a SERIOUS resolution!   I've lived like a closet slob for far too long.

So............I've FINALLY organized my pins on my Pinterest boards until I suffered from crafting/sewing over load and I begin to seize on the floor.  Then The Hubs had to come to my rescue and pry my phone from my tightly gripped fingers and turn off my Pinterest app.  Pinterest is my kryptonite!   It is the most excellent way to  waste time.......errrrr..., I mean get inspiration.  But, I digress from my original topic.

In the same vein, I've looked at my Sewing Studio/ Library/ Yoga space (but for this series of posts.....it will be called the Sewing Studio).   Btw.....can a room be called a yoga space if I've only worn yoga pants and listened to meditation music in it?????  Anyhooo.....I digress!  AGAIN!

So, some before pics of my creative genius aftermath........

See..... I just throw it all on my floor. Especially in the middle of a project....I just can't be bothered to put anything away!  SHEESH!   That would just disrupt my creative process by starting my cleaning process......THEN I would NEVER finish any project!  :)

Like I know it's a little hard to use that there printer with stuff piled high on top of it.

My Cutting table was having an identity crisis too.  It didn't know if it was for cutting fabric or a convenient place to stack stuff.

One other goal that I have for my Sewing Studio organization, is to NOT spend any money but to reuse, reduce and recycle crap that I've saved for YEARS and actually use it.  AKA..... plant hangers, cute little wooden boxes, DVD rack, etc...  I've made some headway on this....... but that's for another post.

I'll leave you with something Pinterest-y......... cupcakes that didn't quite look like my Pinterest board but did come CLOSE!
I MEGA love owls and cupcakes....and.... icing!  It was a win-win for me.

See ya on the flip side,
Shannon
